What they got right and wrong
The front desk was cute and the breakfast spread was excellent, with various types of cheese and meats! The location was ideal, near the harbor and amenities.
Nevertheless, the rooms could do with a refresh as the decor felt outdated. The noise from the main road was intrusive.

The place had a family atmosphere. We took a family queen room with central heating, an electronic key card, and a coffee/tea maker, it was huge.

The breakfast was excellent, liked public parking. The suite we were given had climate control, a personal safe and a couch bed. The hotel created a comfortable environment.

The property was in the centre of the city.

How can a hotel call itself a Ramada when the rooms are filthy with hair everywhere and smelly duvets, it's almost laughable. The check-in is delayed to 3.000, ridiculous! As a guest, i expected to be treated like royalty, but no, just a regular stay. I almost gave a good review, but no, just cannot!

It was very close to the center of the town and all the restaurants also the staff at breakfast were very pleasant and happy as were the staff on reception.
We missed the possibility of being able to make a cup of coffee or tea and being close to the police station as the police were busy the night we were there.

The breakfast spread includes multiple types of cold meats and cheeses, along with warm options.
Room temperatures get uncomfortably high without air conditioning. Street noise from outside can be quite intrusive, and mattress quality varies significantly-some beds feel like they're collapsing. WiFi struggles too, often too slow for anything beyond the basics.

The staaf is very friendly and helpfull. The location is perfect at the harbour and city heart. Easy parking for exceptable rate.
The beds are to soft and the room has no aircon. Therefore the room got very hot during the night. A open windows on the mainstreet site of the building is no option due to the traffic noise.Breakfast is to expensensive and can better be bought in the town.

I know a few of the staff as I have stayed there a number of years when it was previuosly known as the Golden Tulip.
Although the hotel is in a good location the interior is dated and the rooms are very basic and haven't been decorated for years.

The location was excellent as I already knew about it since it was a mercure. Rooms are clean , big and I got one facing the waters so it was great view and we saw so much snow from outside our window. Staff are very courteous and speak good english.Best part is their varied sumptuous breakfast. I really relish the varieties and quality of food at the hotel.
The only minus was there is no tea -coffee maker, specially for a 100 euro hotel. It is a small cost but very convenient. Wondering why the staff is not taking note of this . a small thing but for winters it is a big issue because we cannot go down to the bar to have tea/coffee at say midnight or at 5am. !!
